Bucharest Minor groups announced

With Bucharest Minor a few hours away, the group distribution for the tournament has been revealed.

The second round of Dota Pro Circuit 2018-19 is just a few hours away now. And the group distribution for the Minor has been announced. The teams have been divided into two groups of Four:

Group A:

Keen Gaming

Ninjas In Pyjamas

Gambit Esports

Team Team  

Group B:





Group A seems to be the stronger of the two groups, with Gambit Esports and Ninjas In Pyjamas being the two bigwigs. Gambit proved that they were a force to be reckoned with after the team won the WePlay Winter Madness, defeating OG 3-0 in the grand finals.


The matches begin today at 13:30 IST, with the first day being reserved for Group A. On the 10th of January, matches for Group B will commence. The playoffs for the Bucharest Minor start on the 11th of January, and will go on until the 13th.

Tournament Structure  

Group Stage  

8 teams will be divided into 2 groups of four each. The Group Stage will have a double elimination bracket with all matches being BO3. The top 2 teams will advance to upper brackets in the playoffs, while the bottom 2 teams from each group will advance to the lower bracket of playoffs.  


Eight teams will be seeded into double brackets: 4 in the upper bracket and 4 in the lower. All the matchups will be BO3 series and the Grand Final will be a BO5 series.  

Prize Pool distribution:

1ST – $125,000 & 120 DPC  

2ND – $70,000 & 100 DPC  

3RD – $35,000 & 90 DPC  

4TH – $25,000 & 70 DPC  

5TH – $15,000 & 40 DPC  

6TH – $15,000 & 40 DPC  

7TH – $7,500 & 20 DPC  

8TH – $7,500 & 20 DPC
