Dendi joins Tigers

After playing in the CIS region for most of his career, Dendi will be switching over to SEA.

The Dota 2 scene never ceases to amaze us. There is drama happening everytime. But this time, it is good news. Everyone’s favorite Dota 2 player and the face of esports, Dendi, has joined the SEA team Tigers.

In a post on Facebook, Tigers revealed that Dendi would be latest player to complete their roster. The news comes just a couple of days after Tigers had announced that Mushi would be joining their squad as the carry. They had let go of Ahjit and InYourdreaM earlier, after they failed to qualify for the Bucharest Minor and the Chongqing Major.

From CIS to SEA

This is the first time that Dendi has joined a team in the SEA. He had played for Natus Vincere (Na'Vi) since joining their roster. Despite a series of stagnant performances, Dendi stuck with the organization before they finally let him go last year.

The addition of Dendi completes the Tigers squad (previously known as TNC Tigers). The team now has probably the most experienced and legendary Dota 2 players. Accept for Xepher, all other four players are some of the most experienced and the best players the Dota 2 scene has ever seen. We will have to wait to see the new roster in play, which will probably be after the second round of DPC Season 2018-19.

The current Tigers roster is:

Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung - Position 1

Danil "Dendi" Ishutin - Position 2

David "Moonmeander" Tan - Position 3

Kenny "Xepher" Deo - Position 4

Sivatheeban "1437" Sivanathapillai - Position 5

UPDATE:

Natus Vincere has just posted a statement, clarifying that Dendi will only be standing in for Tigers since he is still under contract with the team.

Their blog post also mentions that the first match of the Tigers under the said lineup will be on January 24 for the SEA qualifiers of the DreamLeague Major.
