Puppey and Dendi Reunion? Dendi to stand-in for Team Secret

That’s right, Dendi will be playing with Puppey and the rest of Team Secret at the Dota 2 Maincast Autumn Brawl Playoffs this week.

Ever since Na’Vi’s CEO announced Dendi’s departure from his longtime team, we’ve all hoped and prayed it was not the end for the “face of Dota”. We were grieving, we were on the brink of saying goodbye to an era even. Fortunately, despite more than a decade of being in the industry, Dendiboss was not ready to call it quits just yet.

Guys I am not retiring from dota. Looking for team/players. Thanks for warm words ❤️

It’s been more than a month and fans started wondering where the legendary player will end up. There were countless speculation, but fans wanted nothing more than to see the old Puppey x Dendi tandem gracing the stage once again.

And we got it!

Team Secret announced earlier today that Dendi will be standing in for Team Secret at the Autumn Brawl playoffs this week. They even released a video showing the Dendi pudge surprise at the TI5 All-Star Matchups.

Dendi will be filling in for Midone, who will be taking a rest in SEA. Team Secret teased us yesterday with a not-so-subtle social media post of Puppey calling in a favor from a friend. It did not take us too long to figure out who this “friend” just might be.

While it doesn’t necessarily mean a permanent comeback for Dendi, it’s still something to look forward to. After all, the Puppey and Dendi Show is still regarded as the most iconic duo in the history of Dota 2. Who can forget the Pudge Chen fountain hook combo that made us love the game even more? It may be temporary, but it is more than enough to get our hearts hooked on the pro scene once again.

The Maincast Autumn Brawl playoffs will be happening tomorrow. Twelve of the best EU and CIS teams will compete for first place along with a $50,000 cash prize.
