The latest ranked season is upon us with a few changes and a new Dota plus update.
The time has finally come. The latest ranked season for Dota 2 has started and patch 7.21 has finally hit the game. The ranked season isnt the same though as there are going to be a few changes.
The medals have been reset, and the players will have to now recalibrate. But instead of five tiers, each Rank will now have seven tiers, offering more rank precision and opportunities to advance. Also, player in each rank tier will gain access to new emoticons for each rank.
Apart from that, Dota Plus has been updated with new quests and skins. Monkey King, Medusa, Enchantress, and Centaur now have their exclusive Dota Plus skins.
One quality of life improvement that has come with the new season is the introduction of Behavior Score in the profile and conduct summary. Earlier, you could only see it through a console command.
Also we now have patch 7.21. It is mainly a balance patch ahead of Mars’ release by the end of February or early March.
The way the primary stat works has now been changed. The effects of primary attributes do not grant 25% extra effectiveness. Instead, the primary attribute growth for all the heroes has been increased by 15%. The biggest change is perhaps the removal of Io from Captain’s Mode due to big changes in relocate, which is now a cast delay ability like before. Ember Spirit has gotten a great buff with the cooldown reduction to Slight of Fist in the early game.
The patch notes are huge with numerous changes in the game, which we will detail in a later post.
