EHOME wins the Bucharest Minor

EHOME continued its dominating run to win the Bucharest Minor.

The Bucharest Minor has finally come to a conclusion. The Minor ended with the new boys on the block, Gambit Esports fighting it out against EHOME. EHOME had an undefeated run at this tournament. They had earlier defeated Gambit in the semi-finals, and it was a chance for Gambit to get back at them.

However, EHOME had the upper hand. Under the guidance of Xiao8 and a TI winner as their teammate (Faith_Bian), EHOME proved to be far better at execution than Gambit. The Chinese team showed their dominance in the first game itself, where they played the better game right through the beginning. The only game they dropped in this tournament was the second match of the Grand Finals. They ran a mid Legion Commander against Gambit Esports’ Razor, which did not prove to be effective, cost them their only loss in the tournament.

The next game saw Gambit select the signature Meepo on their carry, Daxak. But EHOME prevented him from gaining the momentum that he needed, and some well-executed Ravages later, they won the match. The last match saw Gambit Esports’ Terrorblade being completely shut down by EHOME. EHOME’s Phantom Assassin, on the other hand, became huge and started dealing 1.6k crit damage, which Gambit could not handle.

In the end, EHOME won 3-1, taking the title. They won $125,000 in prize money and 120 DPC points. The win in the Minor has also earned them a slot at the ChongQing Major. Their amazing run at the Bucharest Minor has shown what the team is capable of, losing only one game throughout the tournament.

The ChongQing Major will start pretty soon, on the 19th of January. Stay with us for the coverage on the tournament.
