Faker may have been absent in this year's Worlds, but that doesn't mean his influence on League has declined
On the 12th of November, Faker (real name Lee Sang-hyeok) of the popular League of Legends team SK telecom T1 appeared in a talk show.
It wasn't just a regular interview, however, as sitting beside him were K-pop idols Joy and Seulgi of prominent girl group Red Velvet.
"Annyeonghaseyo" (Hello, Counselor in English) is a national talk show by Korean Broadcasting Network (KBS). The show talks about people and their corresponding stories.
This is quite a big news not only for K-pop fans but for gamers as well.
In South Korea, it is not uncommon to see celebrities of all kinds, may it be singers or athletes, to appear on national television... However, it is almost unheard of for a professional gamer to make their way onto a talk show.
