Accusations to GESC

Anthony “Scantzor” Hodgson revealed in his post that GESC had not paid the dues to the talent, teams, players and contractors, including his own work at the GESC Bangkok and GESC Jakarta Minor.

Following these accusations, Matthew “Cyborgmatt” Bailey, who is the Director of Team Secret, posted on Twitter a link to an open Letter to Valve.

“The players and teams have not yet received their prize money from the organization from either of these two events”, the letter reads. “This, despite GESC having an agreement in place with Valve to adhere to the 90-day limit on prize money pay-out."

ESGS 2018

We attended ESGS (again) this year and was not disappointed!

Attendees witnessed local players compete in Hearthstone, CSGO, and Dota 2. The finals for the Road to the Nationals was also held during the weekend, where Tekken 7 and Dota 2 local champions advance to The Nationals set for the first quarter of 2019.

A total of 19 gaming brands had their booths set up all throughout the three days of ESGS 2018. Some gave out outrageous discounts up to 40% off, while some brand held raffles for gaming peripherals.
