Lil, Garter join forces to form Peach Bay

Two short-lived teams formed during the post-TI8 shuffle have joined forces to create a new European team to be named Peach Bay.

Taking another shot

Odium and Mango Bay were formed to compete at this season’s Dota Pro Circuit, Odium being Ilya "Lil" Ilyuk’s product while Mango Bay was shared by Ylli “garter” Ramadani and Pittner “bOne7” Armand. Both teams tapped a combination of young talent and experience to compete at Dota’s highest level of play, but instead of success and stability, both teams suffered failures left and right resulting to early disbandment that are capped off with drama.

Now both team captains Lil and garter have decided to join forces and start something new, thus Peach Bay is born.

They will be joined by European journeymen Erik "Eskillz" Sundblad and Sebastian "Solen" Kjær while garter takes Filip "Fey" Musialski from his old Mango Bay squad. All these three names may have not ring a bell to general fans because they are all young talents dwelling on lower tier teams.

Dismissing the controversies

Mango Bay began flat when they fell out of the first DPC events in Kuala Lumpur Major and DreamLeague Season 10 qualifiers along with other non-DPC events. These poor results immediately prompted the team to disband.

Even after disbanding, Mango Bay was involved in an incident where team manager Nicholas “BlueOceanz” Blue attempted to ‘sell’ their slot at the Maincast Autumn Brawl tournament. garter and company later announced that they are unaware of BlueOceanz’s doings and later tweeted that their meager earnings were cut to pay the manager’s ‘random sketchy stuff’ - hinting that managerial issues is another cause of the team's disbandment.

Odium meanwhile suffered the same fates with Mango Bay, but their reason for disbandment was more of internal commotion between the players. Lil has been the center of CIS drama weeks ago where he talked about players from his former organizations Natus Vincere and Virtus.Pro, specifically with Nikola "LeBronDota" Popović.

Sooner, Lil found his players departing one by one after every failure on LAN qualifiers and online tournaments until he found himself alone in the Odium roster, prompting him to dissolve his short lived project.

Here’s the full lineup of Peach Bay from positions 1-5:

Filip “Fey” Musialski

Ylli “garter” Ramadani

Wilhelm Erik “Eskillz” Sundblad

Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk

Sebastian “Solen” Kjær
