Mushi leaves Mineski

Mushi announced his departure from Mineski, but has not given any reason for it

Mineski is one of the most successful Dota 2 teams to come out of Southeast Asia. It was one of the best teams in the region and on par with all the international teams, but it seems to have fallen on hard times now. Even though they had brought in Mushi, they still could not do well. And now, Mushi has announced that he will be leaving Mineski.

The announcement was made on Mushi's Twitter account. He revealed that he is a free agent now, and thanked Mineski for taking care of him. He did not reveal further details regarding the cause of his departure or anything else.

Mineski also posted regarding his departure, with a video tribute to him and thanking him.

Mushi was instrumental in getting Mineski to TI8. He was a part of the squad that won the DAC and Bucharest Minor in the 2017-2018 season. But the team did not perform well at The International. They were placed 9th-12th at TI8 and the new season hasn't really been that great for them either. They could not qualify for the Kuala Lumpur Major or the DreamLeague Season 10 Minor after that. They also did not receive the direct invite for the Chongqing Major regional qualifiers. Mineski also came last at ESL One Hamburg 2018 where they placed at the bottom of Group A and were eliminated.

Mushi has not revealed his future plans either. But it is safe to assume that we might hear some news from him soon. Until then, stay tuned with us for more updates.

The current Mineski Dota 2 squad is:

1. Thiay  "JT-" Jun Wen

2. Kam  "Moon" Boon Seng

3. Damien "kpii" Chok

4. Kim "Febby" Yong-min
