The New League of Legends Champion Neeko is Basically A Chameleon

For League’s 142nd champion, we’re getting a girl lizard

And she’s super cute, if we may add.

Meet Neeko, the Curious Chameleon

The colorful mage that Riot has been teasing us for weeks now has finally been revealed – Neeko is the latest champion added to the Rift.

“Neeko was born on a remote and largely unknown island, far to the east, where the last members of an ancient vastayan tribe remained isolated from the rest of the world.”

This chameleon takes over a mage role, equipped with the unique ability to mimic.

Basically Neeko is a shapeshifter who can exactly copy a teammate’s physical appearance for a certain amount of time. This is her passive – Inherent Glamour.

Blooming Burst, Neeko’s Q, throws a seed which blooms and damages enemies. If a large monster or an enemy champion takes damage, the flower will bloom again up to two times.

Her second skill, Shapesplitter, comes in handy for disengages when activated at the right time. Shapesplitter gives Neeko invisibility, movement speed, and a temporary clone.

The colorful mage is also equipped with some crowd control. Tangle-Barbs throws a magical spiral which roots enemies. The last champion that got hit is rooted longer. If at least two enemies were hit, Neeko’s E grows in size, speed, and root duration.

Neeko’s ultimate ability, Pop Blossom, lets the chameleon gain speed. Pop Blossom also stuns enemies in the area, slowing them down first.

Prior to Neeko’s release, a 15-second teaser has been posted by the League of Legends EU Twitter account. The clip showed Darius, Nunu, and Ahri.
