The announcement was made just after Pajkatt’s departure.
OG hasn’t had the best start this season. After missing the first round of DPC by taking a well-deserved break, they failed to qualify for the ChongQing Major. Ana had decided to take a longer break, and Pajkatt was brought in as a stand-in. But on the 3rd of January, OG decided to let Pajkatt go, citing ‘Chemistry issues’.
In a post on Facebook, they had said:
“During the weeks following his addition to our DotA 2 roster, we faced chemistry issues.
We realized there was not enough space in OG for Pajkatt to express his full potential. His profile, at the end of the way, no matter how excellent it is, did not match.
Team chemistry is a very complex matter, and regardless of how competent an individual is, sometimes the puzzle just doesn’t come together.”
Since Pajkatt was instrumental in helping OG secure a slot at the Bucharest Minor, OG will also be giving him a cut, and more if they qualified for the Major.
The next day after his departure, OG announced Pajkatt’s replacement, Igor “iLTW” Filatov. He will be standing in as OG’s position 1 carry in place of Ana. Right now, the Russian pro Dota 2 player is signed with Espada, where he plays 1st position carry as well. In the past, he has played with Team Spirit as well as Comanche.
He played his first game with OG in the WePlayDota2 Winter Madness against OG. As of writing this article, OG won their match with a confident start from iLTW, and will play NoPangolier next.
As for Pajkatt, he has not yet announced his plans for the future. Stay tuned with us for more updates.
