Player emails Gabe Newell about his rampage, receives a reply

“Please email me at gabe n at valve software dot com and let me know about your rampage”.

Whether or not God listens to answer our prayers is up for debate. Some say he does, some say he doesn’t care, some say to have patience. But our one true lord, Lord GabeN, does respond to our emails.

In one such incident, a Dota 2 player sent an email to Gabe Newell, CEO of Valve, telling him about his rampage with Phantom Assassin. In response, Gabe Newell replied: “Good job”. The screenshot of the conversation was posted on Reddit and has 1k upvotes as of now.

GabeN actually does want you to email him about your rampages, as he says in the voice pack for Dota 2.  The reactions to the image were pure gold as well:

"Probably why he took the time to reply, I can imagine him chuckling about it when he read the email"- u/Tehmaxx

"Look at that passive-aggressive punctuation at Gaben's reply!"- u/Ghorgul
"Thanks to this guy HL3 postponed for another 15 years" -u/bluesbrothas
"So you confessed that you play PA... 6 month ban incoming"- u/navazhdenie

This isn’t the first time that Gabe Newell’s interaction with the community has went viral. Here are a few of our favorites:

Here is his wisdom for anyone considering Skydiving:

“He is an ass”

Probably one of the most viral Gabe Newell quotes. GabeN released a statement after the Shanghai Major fiasco and why James ‘2GD’ Harding was fired.

That time when GabeN acted as Steam support.

GabeN shows how much he cares for his customers

A user that_earlyguy emailed Gabe Newell after Steam support took more than a week to solve his issue. And guess what, Lord GabeN jumped right into action and helped him out, within two hours.

Has GabeN ever answered your emails? Do let us know.
