Snax, Byali return for Virtus.Pro roster revamp

Virtus.Pro revealed their ‘new’ roster coming in to 2019 almost two weeks after ceasing operations of their CS:GO lineup.

Paweł "byali" Bieliński and Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski – members of the original Polish Virtus.Pro team established way back 2014 are set to stage a comeback after their respective exits with the organization.

Snax had a short stint with mouseports but was eventually benched when the squad decided to field in Martin "STYKO" Styk. byali meanwhile decided to stay away from VP for a couple of months after a rift brewed up following their strings of disappointing finishes at huge LANs.

The two will be joined by former AGO Esports member Mateusz "TOAO" Zawistowski who will assume in-game leadership for the squad.

They will complete their lineup by retaining Polish stars Michał "snatchie" Rudzki and Michał "MICHU" Müller – the two remaining players from the active VP roster before the cease of operations.

This also means that core VP members Filip "NEO" Kubski and Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski won’t return for VP’s CS team any sooner. While pashaBiceps remains an inactive member of VP, an announcement made by the Russian organization formalizes that they are officially parting ways with NEO. He has been with the team since 2014 and was part of the original ‘Golden 5’ of Poland.

“We are saying farewell to the esports legend NEO. It's hard to overestimate his contribution to our team's victories. Together with Wiktor Wojtas, Filip's efforts elevated our organization to be among the leaders of the global esports scene. I wish Filip the best of luck in any career path he may choose. We will reveal our future plans together with pashaBiceps in the next year."

VP General Manager Roman Dvoryankin added that it was a difficult decision for the organization but it is a must to revitalize the team.

“It was a difficult, but calculated decision. We trust these young players who are, I hope, the future of our CS:GO team. I'm happy to welcome byali and Snax back to our roster: the guys are no strangers to winning titles under the banner of Virtus.pro. We also expect to see our brand new player TOAO to quickly adapt and to bring fresh ideas to the team.”

Completing the changes will be Jakub "kuben" Gurczyński who is set to go back for coaching duties.
