Solo spills the beans on why ArtStyle left Virtus.Pro

Solo, in his interview at ESL One, talked about the meta and why Artstyle left.

Dota tournaments are more than just gaming. There’s a lot that happening backstage. There is the usual meet and greets, the endearing shenanigans of SirActionSlacks with the fans and of course, interviews with the players.

In an interview with VPEsports, Solo, the Captain of Virtus.Pro shared why Artstyle left as the coach of Virtus.Pro. He said that ArtStyle himself felt that he had no new ideas and was not good at the current meta (We’re looking at you Icefrog). When asked why they had decided to make the change, Solo replied:

“That was a very hard decision for us because before anything else Artstyle is our friend, not only our coach. It was more about him not feeling that he is good at this meta, he had no fresh ideas and he realized this by himself. ArsZeeqq is younger than ArtStyle, he plays more Dota than him, he is watching a lot of tournaments, a lot of teams, he has his own opinion about Dota and he has a lot of new ideas. He is already helping us with the drafts and I feel that he joining us it’s like a new page for Virtus.pro.”

On being asked about the current meta, Solo said that he actually liked it and was good at it. "I’m getting a grip on new changes pretty fast, but to be honest I like the current meta". ArtStyle is famously known for his time as a Dota Player for Na’Vi. He was in the Na’Vi squad when they won the first TI, and later left the team in the following weeks. He was brought in as the coach of Virtus.Pro in 2017.

In his place, ArsZeeqq stands as the new VP coach. ArsZeeqq has previously coached Team Effect and Team Empire.
