TNC Predator parts ways with ninjaboogie

TNC Predator have decided to part ways with their captain Michael 'ninjaboogie' Ross days following their short-handed attempt to qualify at the DreamLeague Season 11 Stockholm Major.

The Philippine squad announced through Facebook that ‘boogie’ will no longer be part of the active roster, thus suggesting that he will be relegated at the bench. Carlo 'Kuku^' Palad will also be back to in-game leadership duties while still playing as an offlane. There are no further details yet on ninjaboogie’s future plans.

The same post also announces their participation at the Southeast Asian qualifiers for the StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational Season 6 Minor in attempt to secure another shot of making it to the Major. The SLTV Minor will be the counterpart of DreamLeague Season 11.

However, this announcement comes with questions as the schedule of the Minor LAN to be held in Kiev, Ukraine coincides with the schedule of the WESG Global Finals happening on Chongqing, China. Both LANs are scheduled on March 7-10 and TNC had already qualified as Philippine representatives for WESG. They are yet to make a detailed announcement regarding this conflict should they qualify for the LAN proper in Kiev although they said that they "will provide further updates with the rest of our activities soon."

TNC are looking to regain the WESG Global title after winning it two years ago against Cloud9’s Danish lineup back then. They were unable to participate at the 2017 iteration due to conflicts of schedules with Galaxy Battles 2.

Lastly, they also added that Nico "eyyou" Barcelon will be standing in for the Minor qualifiers. eyyou was part of the 2016 TNC group that stunned the Dota 2 world with their Cinderella run at TI6. He also had a short stint a coach last year for the squad.

ninjaboogie's time with the team that began last September gave TNC decent finishes within and outside of the Dota Pro Circuit. His stay was highlighted by a top 6 finish at the Kuala Lumpur Major and a championship at the WESG Southeast Asian Finals among others. They have also qualified for two ESL One events but sooner withdrew due to tight schedules and visa issues.

Fans will get to see TNC Predator back in action at the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor SEA Qualifiers scheduled from February 7 to 12.
