TNC Predator wins the WESG SEA finals

TNC predator will be going to the WESG main event along with three other teams from SEA.

The World Electronic Sports Games’ Southeast Asia qualifiers finally concluded yesterday. The Event took place at the Quinn City Mall in Kuala Lumpur. After the initial hiccups wherein the fans were angry at the organization for changing the rules of the tiebreaker in the middle of the tournament, it ended with TNC winning the SEA qualifiers.

TNC was matched against Warrior Gaming.Unity, the Dota 2 Squad representing Malaysia. Both the teams had dominating runs. TNC only dropped one match in the group stage, while WG.Unity dropped none.  But TNC showed that they were indeed the better team during their match ups.

Even without Kuku and Ryoyr as stand-in, TNC showed a dominating performance. The first match was complete stomp, with Armel reaching a godlike 11-0 score on his Puck. TNC ended the match in 28 minutes with a score of 28-14. The second match, though, was even more of a stomp as WG.Unity were completely outclassed. TNC ended the second match in 23 minutes with a score of 20-6.

This granted TNC the victory and $7,500 as the prize money.  They have also gotten a spot in the WESG main event as well. WG.Unity will be going to the main event, along with BOOM ID from Indonesia and Veteran from Myanmar, as the top 4 teams from SEA qualifiers were to be given a slot at the WESG.

WESG is a tournament held yearly by Alisports, and is the only esports tournament to be held in an Olympic-style format. The main event will take place in March 2019, though the exact dates have not been announced yet.
